I downloaded disc2 from Janina's site, reburned the image, and we're back on the road... Something must've happened with the earlier version. The "ftp://ftp.linux-speakup.org"; site downloaded at 18-20K, whereas Janina's does it at 80K. I'm wondering if some error didn't creep in that was related to the slower transfer speed but not picked up by the check sum? Nick
