-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Cheryl and others, I can confirm Cheryl's observation about the failure of the DECtalk "say" command to finish processing a file of moderate size. What I did was use the sample text file provided with the flite engine, doc/alice, as input to Flite and then as input to DECtalk, saving the results in wav files for comparison. The resulting speech was nearly a half hour in length. It was completely processed by Flite, but very nearly 10% of the end of the file was missing with the DECtalk "say" command, and a sputter of punctuation marks was its dying gasp. Not too nice for generating portable speech files. - -- The Moon is Waxing Gibbous (53% of Full) My home page is now at http://www.mhcable.com/~chuckh -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iQCVAwUBQI75WjVdG8M9x9tGAQJa3gP+J+R+YJky3ZgAf2qI0vrn//fsbbrCLIYS 44lbNtS+AXk5YlqPGHgKoTwPlIjjOvJayzalkAcgZf25Pm235LGvjPiR6QYiuNLN S8ljB/mSOheGC4AwWF/loQnKfLtJsH1L73qsRd0RqXtco9tEyXwBIM69kGP4DSI1 niu0hiPm9iY= =pa2D -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
