It does turn out that my /tmp is too small for larger text files the way text2wave does them. Of course, I can chop the text files up into smaller files. If anybody knows if there's anything i can do to redirect this let me know; I have plenty of room on my computer, just not in /tmp. and I really don't intend to reinstall my whole system right now, especially since I've used this installation for over a year and this is the first time my /tmp has been too small for something.
