Hello, I am a JAWS for Windows user as well. I use it at school, and I use this Linux laptop at home. As far as distros, I'd personally recommend slackware (www.slackware.com), as it has a Speakup-enabled kernel in its stock distribution. I'd be willing to help you off-list, if need be, because there will definitely be some challenging parts. The address, BTW, is kleins at iquest.net. HTH.
