I bought a brand new Double Talk LT and it had this problem. I took it apart and reseated the processor and everything was normal, no more random reboots. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Garrett Klein" <kleins@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <speakup at braille.uwo.ca> Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2004 1:25 AM Subject: DoubleTalk problems -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Since I got my DoubleTalk LT back on January 31, it's had the annoying tendency to randomly die in the middle of reading things. What I mean by dying in this case is that it makes a sort of click/squawk noise, stops talking and, if I'm lucky, internally turns itself back on (it says "DoubleTalk ready" again). Other times I need to cycle it manually. The problem isn't computer or OS-specific; it's happened on all computers/OSes I've used it with. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Should I send the damn thing into RC Systems? (I might kill it first if I don't send it in, grin.) Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.
