Hi. The bunzip2 program will "unzip" a .bz2 file. If you use the j option for tar, it will unzip the file before untaring it. Example for tar is: tar -jxf filename.tar.bz2 Example for just using bunzip2 is: bunzip2 filename.bz2 Hope this helps.
