Gnome for redhat 9

I am not familiar with the apt-get command seeing as how I am a total
newbie to linux and in turn to redhat; however, when I did that command,
I received a command not found error. Could you tell me how else to go
about this?

I think I did apt-get install gnome to install the gnome packages.
