help with getting speech for redhat 9

Hello list,
I find myself with a few days time in which I wish to set up speech for
my redhat 9 installation. I do not have speak-up, as my access to a
dectalk is nonexistant at the moment *smile*. I have looked at the sites
provided on this list for festival and for flite (festival lite) and the
word overwelmed can only begin to convey the level of emotion I was
feeling after reading the myriad of different files I had to download
and unpack, and what not. Could anyone walk me through step by step, the
best way of installing speech on this box. I have been accessing it by
using ssh to login to it and then using jaws on a dos box in windows xp.
If I have to, I can also get sited asistance for a limited amount of
time. I would like to set up festival, as it appeared to have better
quality and a wider range of supported voices, but as I said before, I
am way to overwelmed and unknowledgable about the whole process to know
what's best. If there is anyway I can call anyone on the phone, or
communicate quickly through emails or instant messages I would greatily
appreciate it.

Thanks for the help,
Sina
