Even though I'm not the one who originally posted this, I must have a network card that works under Linux before I'm even gonna think about installing it (Linux that is), and my network card right now is an ISA and I had to use windows autodetected drivers to make the thing work, so the chances of my existing network card working under linux are about 1 in a billion.
