Yes, I see what you mean now. I noticed this with the alsamixer program as well and I think this has been a problem since the new cursoring code was posted some while ago. The cursoring code works good in text editors and the like but kinda chokes in some of these curses intensive programs. You're absolutely right about park not holding its place here. It seems to work elsewhere but in alsamixer it breaks. I wonder why here but not in other apps.
