Hi: there's two ways you can do this. You can either get your mail server to talk to your ISP's SMTP server, or you can get your mail program to do it directly. The advantage of getting your mail server to do it is that if you have more than one user on your system, you will be able to send mail locally between them and also you will only have to configure the outgoing mail thing in one place, rather than have potentially several different mail clients configured to do it direct to your ISP. IT also has the advantage that, if you use dialup, your mail server can queue the outgoing mail and send it all when you connect to your ISP, and this won't get in the way of anything else you're doing.
