PID Help

I got the attached response on the ma-linux list and thought others,
especially John, might find it helpful. I think the "pidof $!" very
clever and useful.

Meanwhile, I've solved my somewhat simpler problem in a simpler way, as
it turns out:


#/bin/bash
while true; do 
ssh -R WXYZ:localhost:23 [my.home.server]
 done 

Works like a charm.
