Hi, John: I'm not sure what the intro character is, or where I change it. It is possible that something by way of settings has changed because of a setting I did on the GNOME desktop which causes my synth to swear, even in consoles, to the extent that I can only reboot. Otherwise, you are correct, I'm using a stock RC Systems Doubletalk LT. And it seems to happen in any and all applications as well as the command prompt.
