Hi John,

On 11 Oct 2003 11:25:16 (my local time 17:25:16), you typed::
Jc> did you give it any boot
Jc> paraneters at the prompt when it comes up, if not it won't do very
Jc> much.

So I did.

Jc> The way its set up now your synthesizer must be on com1 (ttyS0) and
Jc> at the prompt say knoppix 2 speakup_synth=your synth name and that
Jc> should boot the thing.

Well, either i must have done something very wrong, or it's something
else, because i did just that. At what i believe must be the boot
prompt, i typed: "knoppix 2 speakup_synth=apolo" without the quotes and pressed enter and
waited and waited and... Well, there may be things i've overlooked but
i can't say what.
Could it be that my old hardware Juno isn't detected correctly? Could
it be that as english isn't the default language of the synth, that
that could present problems?
