windows 2000 machines cant see samba

... I'm having a similar problem with my NT workstations, the xP 
workstation can see the various shares I've created and I haven't tried the 
98 box to see what it does.
I also haven't done much investigation into this problem at this time but 
if I find a solution I will post it.
