This isn't exactly what you asked for, but I use epic4 which is a modified ircii, and here are the status lines from my .ircrc. set status_query Querying %Q set status_away (is away) set status_channel on %C set status_format %@%N %A %C %+ %D %Q I changed the format quite a bit. you should be able to find what you're looking for in the help for status_format unless ircii is more different than I think.
