Someone has written a perl sdcript called rip (cannot remember the web
page, but it's linked from the lame page, in the software that uses Lame
section).  It is a front end to paranoia and your choice of bladeemc, Lame
or Oggenc, and very nice it is too.

p.s. I just looked at the site, I did get the url correct.  It seems that
the latest version, which I don't have, also has support for the new FLAC
audio compression, oh yes and I forgot, for ripping those music cds, it
also calls cddb to get the track info.
