But wait ... JavaScript is NOT Java ... you can install the JDK (J2SE) on either windows or linux, and do ALL of your programming in emacs. The only hitch is GUI apps and there is an accessibility API. Don't confuse Java with Java Script, they are not the same animal ... -- Doug
