I've got a python script which uses frames to show thumbnails down the left,
a title across the top and puts selected photos in the rest.  Since it uses
percentages to do the displays it makes the photos show up right regardless
of the resolution of the monitor on which it's being displayed.  It is
possible that others use them for the same or similar reasons as well.
Actually phrasing it correctly, I have a python script which generates html
documents that ...  Previously my wife was having to kick me and the kids
off our computers to check the pics in multiple resolutions on monitors of
different sizes.  Anything can be abused or misused, that doesn't mean it
doesn't have legitimate uses.
