Hi, I posted this message just after I subscribed and got not a
answer so I thaught that the message might not have gotten to the list so
I am posting it again. I am trying to use a sound blaster audigy2
platinum card under linux and can't get it to work. I have tried the
alsa-0.9.3 with no effect and also the emu10k1 driver from
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1 and when it installed with my
redhat linux 9 system running kernel 2.4.209-spksmp I ran make oldconfig
with the configureation file for the smp kernel after I ran make mrproper
and make dep and I got unresolved symbles in the modules. When I tried to
load them the audigy module loaded ok but I had to manually load it
because the stuff in /etc/modules.conf did not load it. I need this sound
card to work because I am going to try to record and play files under
linux and don't want to buy another sound card. What should I do to make
this sound card work under redhat linux 9? bye
