It's a capital I. Btw, what do you have to do to get speakup to appear in the kernel config? I can get it to appear sometimes, but not in others... ----- Original Message ----- From: Alex Snow To: speakup at braille.uwo.ca Sent: Monday, June 23, 2003 11:52 AM Subject: recompiling kernel Hi All. I've decided to upgrade my kernel to a 2.4.20 from 2.4.17. I grabbed the linux-2.4.20.tar.bz2 package from ftp.kernel .org and untared it under /usr/src and simlinked it to /usr/src/2linux. I patched speakup in, and then did a make oldconfig. After that was finished I ran make dep. then I did make modules. but when I went to run make bzimage make told me that bzimage was an invalid target. what am I doing wrong? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
