I grabbed the linux-2.4.20.tar.bz2 package from ftp.kernel .org and untared it under /usr/src and simlinked it to /usr/src/2linux. I patched speakup in, and then did a make oldconfig. After that was finished I ran make dep. then I did make modules. but when I went to run make bzimage make told me that bzimage was an invalid target. what am I doing wrong?
