If you wish to manually configure your Unix newsreader to get
its news from a server other than the default system server,
you'll need to update your NNTPSERVER environment variable.
To do this, type at the Unix prompt:

setenv NNTPSERVER news-server

You'll have to check if trn reads that environment variable.
I have seen other things like /etc/nntpserver and rc files.
