I sent this message a few hours ago but don't think it made it...if It did sorry for the duplicate message. I just installed a supraexpress 28.8k isapnp modem. I read the modem howto, and tried to execute the setserial command to assigm my modem a ttyS. but I get an address already in use error. I looked up the modem's io address in /proc/ioports, and it is ideed already in use...but by something called serial(audo). How can I free up this address to get my modem to work? -- A message from the system administrator: "I've upped my priority, now up yours!"
