I have a laptop that I want to install redhat Linux, and speakup on. I don't have a hardware synth, or serial ports, so buying a hardware synth is not an option. What is the current status of software speech under Linux, I've scene a web page but it hasn't been updated for a while. Also I know there are two different versions of software speech, and don't know which one to chose? Appreciate any info.
