Hi all. Still working on mounting our win 2000 box to our linux fileserver. All well and good as I'm sure has been said before, where you make sure the login name is created on the linux box. I know you would do smb mount and you can pull files onto the 2000 box via the linux server sending to it. My concern now is, how do you do the reverse?? Is there a way for the win 2000 box to pull the files from the linux box via a script under 2000 somehow?? My thought is from a win point of view, you'd be safer to have the win box poll the linux box, rather than having a wide open send into the win box causing heaven knows what. (of course the real safeguard is not to use win at all (grin)), but I guess that's not an option right now. Any revelations on how to have the 2000 box poll the server would be greatly appreciated. It's been a year now, and I really must figure out a way to get files to our Telephone reader box. Thanks as always. Paul in Boulder i c q # 1 6 4 2 4 0 1 9 4
