Hello Jude & everyone. I tried the modprobe command and it did not seem to help. Here is the line with the command on the end: \loadlin\loadlin \linux\vmlinuz root=/dev/hdb1 speakup_synth=dectlk speakup_ser=0 rw modprobe imm Is there a log file generated that I can get the exact problem to the list? It also says something like: kernel panic vfs cannot mount root fs driver not present Thanks for any help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jude DaShiell" <dashielljt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "linux - speakup" <speakup at braille.uwo.ca> Sent: Saturday, January 04, 2003 12:40 PM Subject: Re: zip disk Try the command modprobe imm.
