Hello, Bill. Your last post has me mystified as to what you are referring to. Yes, I use allot of x-windows, and nowhere did I ever state that the system need to be restarted to start x-windows. All I stated to Ron was that he may like to have to options one for a normal startup and one for speakup. That is helpful when a synth is not hooked up, or someones wants to start the computer without speakup loading.
