Email server for Linux

Hi Lorenzo and Buddy,

I think I may have contributed to some confusion here, too! Of course, you
can remotely administer a *nix box using ssh (hopefully *not* telnet!) What
I meant was that there are a lack of freely available *nix mail servers that
sport web-based administration capabilities...

Hmmmm, user signup... Well, my former employer used a bunch of shell
scripts, PHP and such to create a rather clunky administrative interface to
its mail servers. It never worked very well. I know that the Postfix MTA
(http://www.postfix.org) can operate from a LDAP directory. PHP programs
could be written to add to and modify such a LDAP directory.
