I have to aggree wtih toby. If I had decided to install debian with no experience I never would have figured it out. THere is no documentation to speak of on how to make speakup work wtih debian. The redhat docs are fantastic and I thank god I chose that one first. Unfortunately, when I started asking people for help resolving system issues once I got redhat installed, none of the commands they told me to issue worked wtih redhat, so I decided to switch.
