I found the model number in the article that was posted here and saw that it is offered? by sprint. I then went to the sprint site and did not find the phone which if it is "offered?" should be available there but I imagine that sprint has their own name for it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cheryl Homiak" <chomiak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Speakup is a screen review system for Linux." <speakup at braille.uwo.ca> Sent: Monday, December 29, 2003 1:16 AM Subject: Re: More Info on New Accessible Cell Phone Actually, I did a google search and found an article on the toshiba vm4050, apparently made available by sprint sometime in December. so yes, sprint at least theoretically has it available. It's a videophone, which is not really what I want, and it is a clamshell style and opens (I assume that's like a flip phone) also not what I would want. and while the article I found said it voices important events, it still wasn't clear to me whether or not it actually allows you to set and change all those settings by voice. At any rate, even if you didn't find it on the sprint site, it apparently is being offered. Sorry I didn't grab the url but if you put sprint and the letters and numbers of the model in, you can find it. -- Cheryl _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup at braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
