Should have read my reply closer before sending. Someone else had it. You need to specify the protocol before the --dport command. Try iptables -t nat -D PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 23 -j REDIRECT --to-port 80 Don't know if it does what you want, but iptables has no problem with it. Hope this helps.
