I Accept that Speakup is on 0 or ought to be as I plugged synth into what I understand as com1: and it works. But I have an unused BnS on ttyS1 or com2: as I knew it and get the same there. I was trying to use a second device to Emacspeak if it would simplify the installation. It hasn't since none of this has worked yet. GA!
