No, the default kernel is a stock kernel, but look in the kernels directory and just copy one of the Speakup kernels in its place and edit linux.bat to pass the right synth name. All of the Speakup kernels have the keymap built in and Zipslack doesn't load a keymap at boot time, so that should be all there is to it. Oh, do remember to set your time zone right off with "timeconfig."
