You want the timidity package http://www.goice.co.jp/member/mo/timidity/dist/download.html You will also want a decent patch set (timidity can read soundfonts now, so you can use a high quality ones of those if you prefer. Once its installed and configured, you want timidity -id -Ow filename That'll generate you a wav file. Hope that helps.
