Hi. Well it sounds like you are building from source.None of Speakup's code is modularized, thus all of it has to be compiled into the bzImage. Did your bzImage build properly? Did you make sure you configured all dependencies for all options? For example, I found that in order for me to get fatFS compiled in and other fs's, I had to include support for disk quotas.
