I did some looking around in the info pages for the gcc compiler and didn't find a whole lot but I did find mention of variables that can be configured at compile time (that is, compilation of the compiler). LOCAL-INCLUDE-PATH GCC-INCLUDE-PATH SYSTEM-INCLUDE-PATH are what I think you need to play with. Actually, the dashes should be underscores. But you can always use the -I directive to add additional include directories but that would have to be done for each compile. HTH.
