Cheryl:

You probably have four buttons in the upper left hand corner, just above 
and/or to the right of the Esc key which have nothing to do with anyone's 
incarnation of the qwerty.

These are likely the following from left to right:

1.)	A physical shortcut to "Access Thinkpad" in Windows. Yes, I kid 
you not. Regretably, this key is mapped in bios, so we can't remap it to 
something useful. Grrrrrrrr.

2.)	Volume down.
3.)	Volume Up
4.)	Mute -- Very handy in meetings!
