I think the best approach to tell them was did they know you can import Word and Excel 2000 documents in Star Office 6.0 with Star Writer and Starcalc? Oh, and then of course resave them in Microtrash format when done editing it. Shows stupidity. However, they do have a point there. Every college I've went into as a class requirement you must use MS Word, MS Excel, MS access or they flunk you. sounds like descrimination to me. Why not Wordperfect, Quatro pro, Star Writer, etc?
