I know this isn't directly Speakup related, but I know a few of you use scanners under Linux. I was wondering if there is a scanner that you all would generally recommend for reliable performance that works well both in Linux and Windows? My HP Scanjet 6100C has served me well for several years, but it appears to have kicked the bucket. Alternately, how much does it usually cost to fix a scanner? Thanks.
