Kernel panic: no init found. try passing init to kernel

It occurs right when one should be about to get ready to log in. "Cannot
open initial console" comes just before the kernel panic message about no
init found.

| Hi
|
| Well I can't give you exact instruction as I don't know what is required
| for the modem. If you've been reading you should know what it requires.
| I guess that you need parameters passing to the kernel. Such as port
| and irq, although, I would have thought that it was a plug n play
| device. But if it does need parameters passing to the kernel, you just
| append them to the loadlin line of your batchfile.
|
| A quick search on google is likely to provide you with step by step
| instruction.
|
| That's assuming that it is down to the modem, as you haven't stated
| exactly when this occurs. It may be that something else has been
| changed.
