Yes yes yes. All the people tell that Linux is free, but for working with a real screen reader like Speakup, it needs a hardware sinthesizer that costs a lot. And ... I have a Dec Talk PC1 internal hardware sinthesizer that is not supported by Linux. Great OS! It is cheaper to work under Windows, even though I need Linux.
