Consensus opinion required - was 'more worms'

Go to www.symantec.com and read how a virus works.

If I reply to a message, the address of the list will go in my address book,
and a virus can send itself without telling me that.
And it can go to the list where somebody can be infected, if they don't have
a good antivirus.

It would be a good idea (if you care so much about the viruses) to have a
website where the list members can upload a file with a simple form, and
that form print then the direct link to that uploaded file.
The list member can put that link in their message and of course, if the
list won't accept attachments, no virus will come to the list.
Of course, it is a little more complicated than attaching a file but it is
more safe, and if someone wants help....

Hi

The only request is for the forwarding of plain text messages only. I
only explained the steps I undertook as a list owner when I set up a
list which I exspected the majority of subscribers to be Windows users.

Most of the files transfered on this list are scripts or configuration
files which are text documents and its easier for the reader if its
contents is in the body of the message. Compression agents are
different across platforms too. So everyone can read it if it is in the
body of the message.
