Ok, so the question still remains. I have mono voice cassette recordings. I would like the results of my wav or ogg files to come out of both speakers. I can certainly achieve this effect by using certain mixer settings. But is there anything I can do in the original recording of the casettes to files or in converting them after the wav files are made so that the sound will come from both speakers when they are played without having to change mixer settings?
