Hi: Ext2 is a far superior file system to fat32, so use that for linux if you at all can. I personally think that having linux on its own drive is far easier than having it on the same drive as windows, so do that if you can. then cylinders don't come into it. I've never done dual boot on the one drive but I'm sure someone else here would have.
