Port settings in linux

But what are the settings like baudrate, data bits, and handshaking?

  I think that the ports are numbered 0 through 3 so com 1 is relly com 0 in lunux don't quote me on this though.

    Hi.
    I just wanted to know what the default serial port settings are in linux.  I can't seem to get my hardware synth to work in linux, but it works in winblows on the same machine.
