Thanks Chuck. I also have an update on my problem. I resolved the previous problem. Now, the only thing it tells me is that it can't open the display. In fact, I tried running xterm, and it gives me the same error. Yet, startx still runs. How do I get theese other programs to be able to open the display? Thanks.
