hi, first off i would like to say how while my university used to be all unix and c, it is every year more java and windows. i found it quite amusing to log onto a windows machine and look at the start menu. we had: perl for windows tcl/tk for windows python for windows my sql apache open ssh swi prolog all of which were originally unix tools! anyway, that's my 2 pence saqib
