It sounds like your problem is exactly the oposite of what most people in this situation. IP masquerading should cause you no problem sending the packets out, no matter where inside the net work you are. It's usually the stuff coming back in that fails. I'm assuming your firewall is forwarding UDP ports 2074:2076 and 4074:4076 into your speecific address of the machine that you are running the speak freely client on?
