Nope, FreeBSD is a different os entirely. Is free like linux but runs a different kernel which speakup will not work with so site help will be needed when doing an install of this one. Only plaid with it for a couple hours before I had to scrap the machine but what I saw it wasn't too different from linux. Things did seem to click along quite nicely with it. Tommy
